Thanks for visiting the SB Music Ltd website. Our website will be updated regularly with new titles and although we are a small company our aim to have a comprehensive catalogue of music available to New Zealand musicians.

Due to our established relationships with worldwide publishers we are able to offer a fast, efficient and personal service. Whilst we will have some music in stock we cannot guarantee to have absolutely every single title in stock at any one time, however we will do our best to fill all orders as quickly as possible - our growing customer base in New Zealand can vouch for this and are often surprised how quickly we can source a piece of music.

As we are an online store you can place an order 24 hours a day. However if you would like to speak to us we have listed our normal business below:

We have an answer phone as we can’t always get to the phone or maybe chatting with other customers so please leave us a message and we will get back to you. If you have an urgent requirement please feel free to call us outside of business hours as we may be available.

Order Process


As a general rule we suggest allowing approximately one to three weeks for your order to be shipped, although we aim to dispatch your order as fast as we can. Due to the fact we are constantly ordering music from our suppliers we do tend to get things sent quickly but please bear with us as most music, CDs and DVDs come from Europe or the US, but we promise as soon as we get it we will send it the next working day by courier.

Ordering options are listed below. We recognise that some people don’t like using web order forms and that’s fine by us. Just email us direct or give us a call and we will take your order.

Checking the Status of your Order


Once we have received your order we will send you an email confirming that it has been received. When your order is ready for shipping to you we will email you again to let you know that your order is on its way. Please feel free to give us a call / email though if you want a more detailed update and we can see what we can do.

Stock Availability


Our online store has catalogue listings for sheet music, CDs and DVDs and other products. You will see a status showing whether each item is in stock, out of stock or waiting for delivery etc. This information is kept as up to date and possible but it is possible that an item showing as in stock may have sold out by the time your order is placed. Conversely, out of stock items may have been received into stock, so it’s worth checking in with us if you need a particular piece quickly.

What if the piece I order online isn’t in stock?


If an item is not available or we have sold out of it, your order may have to be placed on 'Back Order' and sent out to you as soon as we have it back in stock.

If an out of stock item becomes difficult to obtain, we will keep you updated of progress and keep trying to obtain the item unless you ask us to cancel the back order. If we discover that a title on backorder is being reprinted by the publisher or has become an out of print item we will let you know and we can cancel the order for you.

Spare Part Availability


Some times we are able to source spare parts for customers but this is dependant on the publisher. Some are better than others as this is not core business for them. We will always do our best on your behalf to try and source a spare part but please be patient with us as it may take time. We will advise prices on a case by case basis for this service.

Payment Information


Payment is easy via our online order system. When you complete the online order form you will be taken directly to our secure PayPal payment facility where you can pay by credit card. We do not hold or have access to your credit card details when you use this payment system. PayPal is one of the world’s largest credit card online payment systems.

If you have an account with us (Schools, Educational Institutions such as Universities and the Armed Forces or long standing customers who have a proven buying history with us), we send our invoice with your order. Payment is due in return within seven days, either by credit/debit card, cheque made payable to SB Music Ltd or direct credit into our bank account 12 3205 0091384 00 with your name and invoice number as reference.

Account customers who repeatedly fail to pay within seven days may be asked to pay all future orders in advance until we are satisfied that your payment history gets back on track.

Payment from Outside of New Zealand


We supply music to all over the world, anyone wishing to place an order from outside of New Zealand we ask that you use only our online order system and payment by credit card. This guarantees you the fastest service.

Postage & Packing


As you can see we offer free postage and packing within New Zealand!!! Please note for orders to be shipped outside of New Zealand we will add a postage charge to your order but will keep this at cost price only charging you what we pay for postage.

SB Music Ltd reserves the right to remove the free postage offer promoted on this website at any time however we will notify customers before confirming any order of this was to happen.

Prices on Our Website


Prices may be subject to change at any time without prior notice as our suppliers can change their prices when new catalogues are produced often without any warning which would mean we would need to reflect these price increases on our site. As most of our products and music are sourced from outside New Zealand, our prices are also subject to some fluctuation linked to any major changes in exchange rates. We will always aim to keep our web prices as accurate as possible we are just making you aware price increases can happen but we will let you know if you have an order in process when this happens.

Our prices are determined by the suppliers and exchange rates, so we are unable to offer any further discounts on our published web prices. We will at times have items on special in our clearance page, but please do not ask us to discount our standard catalogue items.

Returns Policy


Unfortunately we are not able to accept returns unless by specific arrangement. Please call us to discuss before returning a piece of music. If you do have any queries relating to your delivery we must be notified within 7 days of receipt with full details. You will see from our online catalogue that we try to give you a detailed description of each item so that you can make an informed decision before you purchase it. Because of Copyright Laws and Distance Selling Laws, we do not supply music to bands on a sale or return basis. Please check when you order that you have given us the correct arranger of the music title you are looking to order as many titles have been arranged by multiple arrangers.

When you join our mailing list by either completing the online form your details are added to our mailing database. As we hate spam as much as you do we promise not to sell, rent, loan, trade or lease the addresses on our lists to anyone. We never ask other companies to send emails on our behalf so you can be sure that any email from SB Music Ltd has been sent from our servers.
